You write so beautifully that it seems selfish to like it so much, since it comes from so much distress. I hope better things will come for you. I have no idea what it would take ever to come to peace with what has happened, and is happening, in Palestine to the Palestinians.

Wow, thank you for reading and leaving a comment. It means so much! Yes, this genocide will remain in our memories for so long… I’m praying everyday for a ceasefire.

the way you write about nostalgia and the feeling of home is so beautifully articulated. It immediately brought me to the imagery I associated with the aspects of childhood I miss :’) really lovely writing

I'm sorry for commenting so much but I cannot NOT comment on this. It is written so beautifully and you somehow explain that feeling of wanting but never getting. That cycle of nostalgia burning on your tongue but nothing sooths it. Then the whole anger and guilt for Gaza, I of course cannot relate to it in the same way as you because even though many times it gets hard ro swallow food as death tolls make headlines again. Even though I'm angry too, even though that's my Muslim brothers and sisters dying, fuck that. That's other humans beings dying there. I don't have Palestinian blood or heritage, I cannot imagine what you feel and are going through. I'm wishing the best for you and all of Palestine, I hope living becomes a little easier for you soon. From the river to the sea. ♡
